I thought it was worth noting that Apartment Therapy gives my epic crochet project a rap. (Well, not my actual rug, but the design I used.)
(I'm not so sure I like crochet becoming so hipsterish actually. But I suppose I should rejoice in the revival of a good thing. Just let it be known that I was doing it years ago when it was totally uncool.)
This is one seriously labour-intensive bed spread. I know so.

I finally learnt to crochet recently! I can now make amigurmi animals and do granny squares. However a rug like that would take me about 10 years at my current rate...
Hooray! I am not so much into the amigurumi, but it is cute. Yes, well these things are definitely long-term projects. I have to make another rug for my newest niece, and I might start now so there is no pressing and all-consuming deadline on it.
